CD holder and finished kitchen

I made this CD holder for my cousin who drove from Utah to North Carolina in a truck with custom cabinets his company made. Talk about amazing! We have a special place in our hearts for Eric because he is the one who introduced Mark and I. We were so grateful that he made the trip and the cabinets are gorgeous! The wood is Alder. There are little things about them that make my life so much easier. He made them a little larger than my old cabinets and I feel like I have so much more room. They have dividers in them and a spice rack that is awesome! They have soft close drawers and doors and I have a pull-out garbage/recycle that I love!
Mark took them waterskiing while they were here so the CD has pictures of them waterskiing and also pictures of the kitchen. Here are the pictures of my kitchen, finished!

12 Weeks 'Til Christmas!

Okay, I know I'm off a little. It's actually about 11.5 weeks 'til Christmas but I didn't post last Sat. I'm hoping to give a Christmas inspired project each week until Christmas. Can you believe it really is less than 12 weeks away? I'm so grateful we had a stamp-a-stack a few weeks ago and I got a jump on my cards! Here is one of the cards I did.

We have a new baby!

Cassie
Well....we finally caved and got a puppy. About a week ago I decided to look at the classifieds and there she was, with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters. They were all so cute I had to go check them out. I called the breeder and learned that she was about 2 hours away so Brady, Lacie, Carston and I jumped in the car for a road trip. We all fell in love with her and brought her home. I was not ready for a puppy to join our family. We stopped at Wal-Mart to get some new puppy needed supplies and Mark and Bryson did a run to Pet Smart to get her a bed. Not only did all of her 1 lb. 13 oz. crawl right into her bed but she has crawled right into our hearts! We're all in love! We all just sit around watching how dang cute she is. The only down side is she is still learning that night time is the time to sleep...and I'm painfully sleepy lately. I did expect this though, I'm just anticipating the night she gets it right!
This was taken during the day. How could I wake her when she's sooooo sweet?
