Pinewood Derby

Carston's Cub Scout pack had their Pinewood Derby last weekend. He had so much fun! His car was patterned after a Lamborghini. Carston and Mark put a lot of work into the car and a lot of paint. Hence, he won the best paint job award. His car wasn't the fastest, nor was it the slowest. Perfect!
Barely winning this race.

Wacky Hair Day

Lacie and Carston love wacky hair day. They always go way out and we have fun thinking of new styles. According to Jason's mom, I'm the only one "allowed" to do his hair. They're so funny!

Holy cow! Can you believe it's March?! With St. Patty's Day coming up I've wanted to make some cards but I don't have any stamps that say "Happy St. Patrick's Day!" Ink: Old Olive, Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Heart to Heart punch

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Last night we went to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus. It was so fun! The clowns were great! This one came up to us and kept showing us what a "catch" he was.

Right in the beginning one clown came up to Mark and made him come with him out onto the floor. I was so nervous for him! Mark and a few other men got to play musical chairs with the clowns. It was hilarious!
After musical chairs they had him and 3 other men show that they don't even need chairs. Lucky for him they weren't mean to him and we all had a good laugh!
The high wire act, the acrobats, the tigers and the elephants were all amazing! I think our favorite act were the trick dogs. They had two different acts that were phenomenal! They did amazing jumping acts as well as walking on their hind legs and walking on their front legs. Two dogs did the wheelbarrow, one pushing and one being pushed. It was sooooo cute! It was a great family activity that everyone enjoyed!

Feb. club

We had a great time with everyone who came to club today! We missed several of you though and hope you'll be able to come next time. Today we had St. Patrick's Day, Easter and weddings on our mind. Here's what we made:

I love the Chocolate Bunny stamp in the mini catalog. When you emboss him he looks like real chocolate! Yummy! I taught everyone how to emboss with classic ink and a Versamark pad. We all loved the new Sweet Pea stitched felt as everyone got to pick which flower to use on their cards. And... we had fun using the texture plates to add a fun dimension to the Regal Rose piece.
Supplies
Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, All Holidays
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Versamark
Accessories: Sweet Pea Stitched felt, Top Note die, Flourish texture plate, Old Olive ribbon

I don't think we have ever made a wedding card so I thought it was time. This card uses a lot of punches but comes together quickly once you decide what colors you want the birds to be.

Supplies
Stamps: Whimsical Words
Paper: Kraft, Bella Bleu, Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Ink: Rose Red
Accessories: Two-step Bird punch, Heart to Heart punch, Designer Label punch, Hodgepodge hardware

For our little extra project, we made the matchbox with a St. Patrick's Day theme. I punched a hole and added a piece of transparency to one side to make a little window. I just love the way the "gold" nuggets show through! The shamrock is made by putting four hearts together in a north, south, east, west direction.

Supplies
Paper: Petals and Paisleys DSP (retired), Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Transparency
Accessories: Staples, 1 1/4" Circle punch, Heart to Heart punch, Matchbox die, chocolate Nuggets
